Current Champion Breaks Their Own WWE Record

A current champion in WWE has broken their own record with their most recent defence that took place recently.

On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, NXT Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar took on Von Wagner in a Heritage Cup Rules match for his cup.

Dar ended up coming out on top in the match thanks to the help of Meta Four stablemates Oro Mensah, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, making his fifth defence of the cup during this reign.

However, Dar actually set a record with his latest victory, setting the record for the most amount of defences in a single Heritage Cup reign.

Dar has defended against Von Wagner, Josh Briggs, Chad Gable, Akira Tozawa and Butch (Pete Dunne) after capturing the Cup from Nathan Frazer.

Coincidentally, the person that Dar defeated to claim his new record was himself, and his four defences of the cup he made on NXT UK back in 2022.
