Dakota Kai Injury More Serious Than First Thought

Dakota Kai Injury More Serious Than First Thought

A number of fans who attended NXT’s weekend house show in Green Bay, Wisconsin reported that a Dakota Kai match had to be stopped after she suffered a knee injury.

While the specifics were unknown at the time, it was not believed that the injury was overly serious. However, according to a report from F4WOnline, Kai may have suffered a torn ACL, and injury a number of WWE superstars have suffered in the past.

Seth Rollins, Big Cass, Samer Singh and Bobby Fish have all torn their ACL’s, and it’s an injury that takes a long time to recover from.

Dr Google suggests that, depending on the severity of the tear, surgery can take up to six months to recover from, which would mean Kai could miss the entirety of WrestleMania season if the MRI she is due to have confirms the tear.

The injury comes at a terrible time for Kai, who was slowly making her way up the hierarchy in NXT’s women’s division, notably feuding with champion Shayna Baszler on TV.

We sincerely hope that the scans show that the injury isn’t as serious as feared, and that Dakota can recover as soon as possible and continue her very promising career in WWE’s developmental brand.

Get well soon, Dakota.
