Daniel Bryan’s career has spanned multiple decades in multiple promotions. The promotion where Bryan made a name for himself was Ring of Honor. Now, Bryan has revealed which opponent in ROH was his favourite.
While there are a number of great options to choose from, Bryan’s favourite was Nigel McGuinness.
Nigel McGuinness… wish we could have done it in WWE

Bryan, then known as Bryan Danielson, and McGuinness had some absolutely brutal matches during their time in ROH. In an infamous moment, they elected to do a spot where they hit their heads into the ringpost as hard as they could. It may have been a product of its time, but the damage done was dangerous, without a doubt.
Bryan also noted that he wishes he could have had a match with McGuinness in WWE. When Bryan was starting with WWE in 2009, McGuinness had signed with TNA Wrestling. McGuinness competed there as Desmond Wolfe until his career came to an end soon after.
Bryan continues to wrestle for WWE and is currently set to challenge Sami Zayn at WrestleMania this weekend. McGuinness mentioned on his WWE documentary that he still has hopes about returning to the ring one day.
