WWE Hall Of Famer Points Out ‘Dangerous’ WWE Move WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page has highlighted what he believes was a very dangerous manoeuvre at this year’s WWE Extreme Rules.

The event culminated in a fight pit match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle, which saw Riddle perform a coffin drop from the top part of the structure on to Rollins, who lay on the mat below.

The move is, of course, also the finishing move of AEW star Darby Allin, where it remains one of the most protected finishing moves in the company.

Speaking on the DDP Snake Pit podcast, Page discussed the move, calling it “dangerous”.

He said:

“I did not see Riddle coming and doing what, to me, I’ll call a coffin drop [on his back from the top of Fight Pit structure]. God, what a dangerous bump. What a dangerous bump.

“And man, on both sides, to take the trust because if he’s just four inches less and his a** lands on his gut … It’s like the top athletes in this business have a sense of skill and luck, and I mean all around.

[Matt] absorbs so much of that [move] on his glutes and his spine. Seth felt a lot of it too, but Matt took a lot of that. What great athletes.”

Page also compared the bump to the Diamond Cutter that Sammy Guevara performed on Cody Rhodes from a ladder during their AEW TNT Championship unification at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break on January 26.

Following the Fight Pit, Seth Rollins went on to capture the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley on Raw, with Riddle seemingly on route to a feud with Elias.
