Details have emerged regarding WWE teaching NXT talent about the ‘production’ side of the presentation of WWE’s shows.
Speaking with Fightful, NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose explained that NXT talent has been taken into and around the production truck in recent weeks, and had things explained to them as to why certain things are done the way they are.
One of the specific things Rose mentioned was holding facial expressions for an extended amount of time to make sure the cameras have time to pick them up.
WWE had previously been working with Full Sail University and had the Full Sail crew helping the roster learn a lot of this stuff, but now most of it’s being done in-house.
It was also noted that the NXT production team itself has been getting some tips from the main roster production team in recent months.
NXT underwent a big restart recently, and it does have more of an influence from main roster backstage higher-ups than it used to, and this all seems to tie into that.
