Dustin Rhodes has responded to fan criticisms of his recent Bullrope match against Nick Comoroto on AEW Dynamite .
On June 4, Rhodes defeated Comoroto in the unique contest. According to Rhodes, his opponent “won” just by sharing the ring with him.
Rhodes asked fans on Twitter what they thought of the match. One fan noted that Comoroto could’ve benefited from the match if he had won, believing Rhodes’ opponent needed more notable wins on Dynamite.
Rhodes stated that just working with him is a victory in itself, tweeting:
“He did win. He was in a match with me. Everybody that works me becomes better.”
Rhodes hasn’t been defeated in singles action since his TNT Championship match against Brodie Lee last year. At Double or Nothing, Rhodes competed in the Casino Battle Royale.
Jungle Boy won the Battle Royale, earning himself an AEW World Championship match. He will challenge Kenny Omega for the title later this month.
Orange Cassidy returns to action following Double or Nothing on next week’s episode of AEW Dark Elevation.
