Dusty Rhodes Classic Final Set For Next Week’s NXT

The finals of the Dusty Rhodes Classic are set for next week’s episode of NXT. Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne will square off against the Grizzled Young Veterans. The winners of the match will be the fifth team to win the tag team tournament.

The Grizzled Young Veterans won their semi-final match against Undisputed Era. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly were well on their way to winning the match when Imperium distracted them, allowing Zack Gibson and James Drake to get the pin.

Later in the show, Riddle and Dunne were able to knock off Imperium after a hard fought battle. Despite some early distractions from WALTER, Riddle and Dunne were able to complete their comeback to win the match.

Both teams engaged in a tense promo where the Grizzled Young Veterans told Pete Dunne that he is not the best thing to come out of NXT UK but the most selfish. They called Riddle and Dunne the jokers of the tournament and both teams said they would win the Cup next week.

They also announced that Tegan Nox will face Dakota Kai next week on NXT.
