Report: Eddie Kingston Completed Secret Suspension After Altercation With Sammy Guevara

A secret suspension that recently occurred in AEW has now been revealed as there are continued reports of drama boiling over backstage.

As if there wasn’t enough drama going on at AEW, news has now broken that Eddie Kingston recently was suspended for an actual altercation with Sammy Guevara backstage.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Eddie Kingston was recently secretly suspended from AEW after getting into a “verbal dispute” with Sammy Guevara.

That suspension has already been served and is over.

Fightful Select added some additional details noting that while the altercation was verbal in nature, the rumors they heard was that Eddie actually swung at Sammy after Sammy made a pejorative comment about his physique.

That report notes their details have not been corroborated by anyone who witnessed the events first hand.

Guevara and Kingston have been feuding as of late and recently (August 3) Kingston challenged Guevara to a match at upcoming AEW pay-per-view, All Out.

While at the August 10 AEW Rampage taping, the live crowd saw Guevara accept the challenge for All Out and Kingston appear on screen with Ruby Soho and Ortiz in person pledging to get both Guevara and his new bride, Tay Melo.

Strangely though when the episode of AEW Rampage made it to air, neither Guevara accepting the match nor Kingston’s promo made it to television and the match has not been referenced since.
