Former NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon was one of the several names that was released by WWE on November 4, 2021.
Ember Moon had been with WWE since 2015, first as a member of the NXT roster, where she won the vacant NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: WarGames on November 18, 2017 in a four-way against Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross and Kairi Sane.
She reigned with the title for 139 days before dropping it to Shayna Baszler at TakeOver: New Orleans on April 7, 2018.
Two nights later, she debuted on the main roster on the April 9 episode of Raw, but unfortunately her main roster tenure was plagued by time out due to injuries.
In late 2020, Moon returned to NXT, and together with Shotzi Blackheart, won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship from Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez on March 10, 2021.
They held the title for 55 days before losing it to Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell, and it wasn’t long before Shotzi was called up to the main roster, leaving Moon as a singles wrestler in NXT for the short period before she was released.
Her last match was a loss to Mandy Rose on the October 5 episode of NXT 2.0.
