It was reported several months ago that WWE had approached both Enzo Amore and Big Cass about returning to the company. The belief was that the pair were going to be brought in as top stars in NXT.
However, WWE COO Triple H pretty swiftly put these rumours to bed. “The Game” accused Enzo of starting the rumours and said he wanted no part of it.
While speaking with Hannibal TV, Enzo responded to Triple H and denied starting the rumours. He went on to accuse a member of WWE of leaking the news:
“I didn’t start any rumors, let’s just be clear about that. I do have confirmation that it was not obviously me — it was someone in their organization.”
Enzo went on to add that his “phone’s been ringing”, but failed to comment on which promotions have been trying to bring him in:
So, my phone’s been ringing. I’m not saying it’s WWE. I’m not saying it’s the other organizations. I’m just saying that I’m a free agent in the pro wrestling world.”
