A former WWE star who worked with LA Knight prior to his signing with the company in 2021 has reflected on his initial impressions of Knight.
In a recent interview with A2theK Wrestling Show, Ken Anderson (FKA Mr Kennedy) was asked his thoughts on LA Knight, who he had worked with in the NWA between 2019 and 2020, when Knight was known as Eli Drake.
Despite not yet receiving a proper shot at the big time, Anderson saw serious star potential in Knight, being particularly impressed with his promo ability.
“I remember at the time when I was working with him, thinking nobody can touch this guy on mic.
“He’s just..He doesn’t have to have a script either. Doesn’t need a script, he can just pick up a microphone and go.
“He’s very thoughtful. He takes it very, very seriously. He’s a hard worker. And they always say (if) you work super hard; you will be rewarded.”
Despite Knight’s path to WWE taking far longer than many others, the SmackDown star looks set to make up for lost time, overcoming an ill-advised gimmick as a manager of the Maximum Male Models this time last year, to now being viewed internally as SmackDown’s number one babyface.
Knight has also proven to be a consistent merchandise mover and now even looks set to receive a brand new WWE contract for his efforts – to read more on this click here.
