A former AEW World Champion is scheduled to compete in a singles match on AEW Dark.
This coming Tuesday’s AEW Dark will be a big episode. It has been announced that the show will feature 12 matches, one of which will involve former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.
AEW revealed Moxley’s Dark appearance on Twitter, noting that he’s scheduled to compete against Jon Cruz. Referring to Moxley as the IWGP US Heavyweight Champion, AEW tweeted:
This Tuesday on #AEWDark, we have a loaded twelve matches featuring debuting athletes, The IWGP United States heavyweight champion Jon Moxley is in action, and much more.

Jon Cruz currently has no affiliation with New Japan Pro Wrestling, so it’s odd that Moxley was flaunting his IWGP championship in the match graphic.
KENTA, the number 1 contender to the IWGP US title, attacked Moxley at AEW Beach Break two weeks ago. On Wednesday, KENTA and Kenny Omega defeated Moxley and Lance Archer, proving that the NJPW star is a threat to Moxley, even in AEW.
Although KENTA and Moxley’s title match is scheduled for February 26 at NJPW New Beginning USA, Wherever the champion goes, KENTA isn’t far behind…
Matches also set for AEW Dark on Tuesday include Tay Conti vs. Vertvixen, and Eddie Kingston vs. Aaron Solow.
