Former WWE Star Returns To Ring Of Honor

Former WWE Star Returns To Ring Of Honor

There were still a number of WWE stars released during the pandemic who had yet to find a home. One of which was former Ring of Honor star Mike Bennett. Now, Bennett has found his way back to his old home, reuniting with Matt Taven in the process.

Bennett (formerly Mike Kanellis in WWE) returned at the end of the latest episode of ROH TV. Taven had defeated BATEMAN in the main event but was laid out after the match. VINCENT then cut a promo and was going to attack Taven when Bennett made the save.

Bennett and Taven were known as The Kingdom during their time as a team. Prior to Bennett’s departure, they had won the ROH World Tag Team Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship. After Bennett left, Taven took over the faction and introduced VINCENT (FKA Vinny Marseglia) and TK O’Ryan as his partners.

Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kanellis were released by WWE on Black Wednesday. Bennett and Kanellis have since been highly critical of WWE following their releases. Bennett is also currently competing in the UWN World Championship tournament.
