Last night at ROH Final Battle, former WWE star Mike Bennett wrestled his first match for the promotion since December 2015 when he teamed with Matt Taven to defeat Bateman and VINCENT.
Unfortunately for Bennett, the win isn’t the only thing the former WWE star walked out of Baltimore with, as he revealed on Twitter this afternoon that he suffered a hairline ankle fracture during the show.
I wanted to wait till later this week to address my ankle because I didn’t want it to take away from #FinalBattle. But I think it’s better to get it out there & move past it. I have a hairline fracture in my ankle. Recovery time is about 6 weeks. I’ll be back sooner.
This is obviously not great news for Mike Bennett, and means the former 205 Live star will unfortunately be on the sidelines for likely all of the first month of 2021.
Make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any potential updates on Mike Bennett’s unfortunate injury situation.
