Former WWE wrestler Heath Slater, just known as Heath in IMPACT, was set to face Moose tonight on IMPACT Wrestling. If Heath won, then he earned a full-time contract with the company.
Heath hit his finisher on Moose and went for the cover. However, the ref was down after a big bump. No one was there to make the cover.
Heath got up and realized the ref was out. Unfortunately, Moose got up as well.

Moose hit the low blow and pinned Heath. Josh Matthews was on the call and reminded us Heath did not earn his contract.
Rumors are Heath had signed with IMPACT, but the length of the contract is unknown. It is possible he only signed on for a handful of appearances.
However, it seems he could continue to try to earn a spot on the roster as part of a storyline. This would be similar to a storyline Heath did after failing to get drafted during the brand split.
Stay tuned for more news from IMPACT tonight.
