Future Female Addition To Blackpool Combat Club Revealed? AEW

ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli has revealed he believes a certain AEW star would fit in with the Blackpool Combat Club.

Castagnoli is the newest member of the group, joining William Regal’s faction at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta are also part of the popular faction.

On the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Castagnoli was asked who he’d add to the Blackpool Combat Club, given the chance.

Arguing that Serena Deeb’s addition to the group would be worthwhile, Castagnoli said:

“I would pick Serena Deeb. I think she’d be a good fit for Blackpool Combat Club.”

There have been many instances where AEW stars have expressed their desires to work with certain other talents ahead of them actually working together. Bryan Danielson had spoken about potentially working with Moxley, Yuta and Daniel Garcia before the Blackpool Combat Club had even formed, and Danielson now teams with two of those names, and has recently wrestled Garcia.

Deeb unsuccessfully challenged for Mercedes Martinez’ ROH Women’s Championship at Death Before Dishonor, the same night Castagnoli defeated Gresham for the ROH World Title.

Castagnoli is currently the only member of the Blackpool Combat Club with AEW/ROH gold, following Moxley’s AEW World Title loss at All Out, and Wheeler Yuta dropping the ROH Pure Championship to Daniel Garcia on the September 7 edition of Dynamite.
