Over the last few years, WrestleMania shows have featured anywhere from 12 to 16 matches and have run for up to seven hours. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this ‘Mania will be spread over two nights this weekend.
It doesn’t seem, thankfully, like both nights will feature the typical 12-16 matches and run for seven hours, with 14 matches advertised for the entire two-night show.
With each night of ‘Mania likely going to feature seven matches, the runtime for each show is likely going to be significantly shorter, making for a more enjoyable experience for the fans.
Thanks to WWE Network News, we now know that night one of the show is going to run for just over three hours (three hours and fifteen minutes), while night two will run for just three hours.
“Following the Wrestlemania 36 Part 1 Kickoff will be the Wrestlemania 36 Part 1 event itself which is listed to run from 7 PM EST to 10:15 PM EST. Then following Wrestlemania 36 Part 2 Kickoff will be the second night of the Show of Shows, which is listed to stream from 7 PM EST to 10 PM EST. Again, we’d like to stress that these listed lengths are not exact but instead the time allotted to the programs on the internal schedule.”
The main cards will start this weekend at 12am BST/7pm ET. The kickoff shows will start just one hour before the main show. It is unclear whether the kickoff shows were also taped at the Performance Center last week along with the ‘Mania matches.
