How Cody Rhodes Felt About The Rock WWE Return Segment Revealed

How Cody Rhodes reacted to The Rock’s controversial WWE return segment on last week’s SmackDown show has been revealed.

The wrestling world has rallied behind Cody Rhodes over the past few days, with the #WeWantCody trending on Twitter ever since the controversial ending to last week’s SmackDown show.

The segment, which was set to see Cody decide his opponent for WrestleMania after winning the Royal Rumble match, saw The Rock make his return to the company, seemingly taking the match with Roman Reigns away from the American Nightmare.

Following the segment, WWE has since acknowledged the reaction to The Rock taking Cody’s spot in the match from fans, and we now know more about how Cody reacted to the segment on Friday.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), those that spoke to Fightful claimed that Cody expressed to the company that he thought the reaction to the segment wouldn’t be the desired one, but he still went ahead and did the segment.

Fightful also noted that Cody was said to have been in a sombre mood after the segment on Friday.

Cody responded to the fan support behind him following last night’s Raw show.

Cody is set to be a part of the WrestleMania kick-off press conference in Las Vegas on Thursday night, alongside The Rock, Roman Reigns, Triple H, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley and Seth Rollins.
