Kofi Kingston is going to WrestleMania to face Daniel Bryan . . . if he can overcome seemingly insurmountable odds and win a gauntlet match next week on SmackDown,
Kofi pleaded his case to Vince McMahon in the closing segment of SmackDown, asking the WWE Chairman what he needed to do in order to be given an opportunity to compete for the title.
Having previously agreed with Daniel Bryan’s private assessment of Kofi that he was a “B-plus players”, McMahon finally relented and told Kofi he would go to the promised land if he could overcome Randy Orton. And Samoa Joe. And The Bar. And Rowan in a gauntlet match on next week’s SmackDown.
If @TrueKofi wants to challenge @WWEDanielBryan for the #WWETitle at #WrestleMania, he has to face @RandyOrton… and @SamoaJoe… and @WWESheamus… and @WWECesaro… and @ERICKROWAN NEXT WEEK on #SDLive! @WWEBigE @XavierWoodsPhD pic.twitter.com/7NsbLvAlJC

This is full circle for Kofi, who established himself as a main event player after 11 years in the midcard with his stunning performance in the pre-Elimination Chamber gauntlet match, where he replaced the injured Mustafa Ali and overcame Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe before falling to AJ Styles.
Kofi will have to repeat the feat and then some next week if he is to earn a shot against Daniel Bryan one-on-one at WrestleMania.
