SmackDown Live General Manager Paige has just announced via Twitter that Jeff Hardy will defend the WWE United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura this Tuesday.

In the build up to Money in the Bank, Nakamura defeated the ‘Charismatic Enigma’ in a non-title match before the former’s WWE Championship match against AJ Styles on June 17.
Following his win, the Japanese star attacked Hardy, and counted to 10, mimicking the Last Man Standing stipulation for his clash with Styles. Or Styles Clash. Get it? GET IT!?
It was the ‘Phenomenal One’ who retained at MitB however, with Jeff Hardy not having a match.
On this past Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown, Jeff Hardy appeared in a promo, wearing his signature face-paint sending a message to the ‘King of Strong Style’.
Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal for the US Championship in April on the Superstar Shake-up edition of Raw.
