Two IMPACT Wrestling stars, one with reported WWE attention, have reportedly left the company after Slammiversary on July 15, 2023.
The news of the departures of Nick Aldis and Zicky Dice was reported by PWInsider Elite (via Global Catch).
Having only made his return to IMPACT in April 2023 at Rebellion, Nick Aldis’ current run in the company seemingly came to an end with a loss to the Impact World Champion Alex Shelley.
Aldis was under a “short-term” deal with IMPACT Wrestling, as previously reported, with WWE reportedly having an interest in the star.
He has previously discussed having conversations with WWE, but the reports of the company being interested in him coincided with the “hiring freeze” that prevented anyone being signed.
Aldis is a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion and has held the TNA World Tag Team Championship on two occasions (with Samoa Joe and Doug Williams).
During their respective times in NWA, Aldis has been a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Championship with Dice having held the NWA World Television Championship.
Zicky Dice has also called time on his run in IMPACT Wrestling having made his debut in August 2021.
