A rising NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling star was present at this week’s (July 11) WWE NXT show.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Yuya Uemura was at the show at the WWE Performance Center this week.
Uemura is signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling, and is currently on excursion working for IMPACT Wrestling.
Uemura was most recently in action on last night’s (July 13) episode of IMPACT, where he teamed with Joe Hendry to defeat Kenny King and Sheldon Jean.
Stardom star Utami Hayashishita was also present at the show, and was scheduled for an appearance at the WWE Performance Center at the invitation of IYO SKY.
This week’s show saw an incredible clash between Ilja Dragunov and Bron Breakker to determine the number on contender for Carmelo Hayes’ NXT Championship at NXT Great American Bash.
The match was won by Ilja Dragunov, who is now set to challenge Hayes for the title on July 30 in Austin, Texas.
The main event saw Finn Balor and Damian Priest of the Judgment Day defeat Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
