Injured WWE Star Addresses Claims They’re ‘Faking’ Injury WWE

An injured WWE star has reacted to claims from fans that they are faking their injury after a recent angle.

The new look Damage CTRL has been running rampant on SmackDown since Crown Jewel, with Kairi Sane making her return to WWE, helping IYO SKY retain the WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair.

The following week on SmackDown, Asuka also joined the group, with Bayley, IYO, Kairi, Asuka and Dakota Kai acting as the new Damage CTRL.

This year’s Survivor Series War Games match will feature Bayley, IYO, Kairi and Asuka in the bout due to Dakota’s current ACL injury keeping her out of the match.

Taking to her recent Twitch stream, Dakota responded ‘detective’ fans who recently accused her of faking her injury for the storyline, as she jumped in the ring for a recent brawling segment.

She said:

“Bro, you want me to be in a wheelchair until I’m cleared? That’s not how rehab works. I’m able to run and jump. This isn’t a shocker. I’m like, ‘Why would I do that? Why would I choose to sit on the sidelines? Like, no one wants that. No one wishes that on anyone. But I’m able to… like, I can run. I can jump.

“It’s not like my leg is amputated. But rehab is just one of those things where… in all sports, no one is getting back in to play like before six, seven months. Certain places have things that they have to abide by, like certain medical teams. For us, it’s like usually it’s like eight to nine, slash 12 months, depending.”

Dakota suffered a torn ACL on SmackDown back in May during a tag team match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

The match also saw Liv suffer an injury, which kept her out of action for a number of weeks.
