It has been many months since Xavier Woods went down with an ankle injury. The SmackDown star suffered an Achilles injury on October 21, now we have a slight update on his condition.
While appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Woods was asked for an update. Here is the full quote:
“I, unfortunately, don’t have an update on when I’m gonna be back in-ring action but I am feeling pretty good. I’m moving around, I’m doing calf raises and whatnot. Things are coming along, I can’t let the goose out of the back yet, you know. I don’t know if that’s a saying but it is now. Like I said, I’m feeling pretty good.”
Woods also joked that he has managed to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships twice while sitting at home. This is a reference to Big E and Kofi Kingston winning the titles on November 8, 2019, and April 17, 2020.
Achilles injuries are very difficult to come back from and usually feature a much longer rehab process than other injuries. When Edge returned from his Achilles injury it took him six months and that was thought to be a quick recovery.
