PWInsider are reporting that Jason Jordan was backstage during last night’s broadcast of Smackdown Live and was responsible for producing the match between Peyton Royce and Naomi.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the former two-time WWE tag team champion (and one-time illegitimate son of Kurt Angle) had been shadowing WWE producers in order to learn the craft. The news came following confirmation that the neck injury he suffered at the beginning of the year had not been healing as expected.
While a serious injury to a performer – especially to someone so early in their career – is never a welcome development, it is encouraging that WWE management have found a role for Jordan while he continues his difficult rehabilitation.
