Jerry Lawler says he is living a nightmare. When he received news that his son Brian Christopher was discovered hanging in his prison cell, he could not believe it. While life has understandably become surreal for the WWE Hall of Famer, the ‘King’ also has doubts about his son’s cause of death, not believing the suicide ruling.
According to WCMActionNews5, Jerry Lawler, along with his attorney, Ted Hansom, do not think the evidence surrounding Brian’s untimely death points to the stated cause of death.
Lawler keyed in on the injuries found on his late son, which did not reveal marks on the front of his neck. He feels this is not consistent with a hanging via shoelaces, which is the story the county sheriff gave him:
“It just doesn’t seem like it was suicide. Just look at his neck and look at his hand. You can see the lines on his neck all the way around here to here and what would be the length of your hand as if he was trying to keep the pressure off.”

Lawler was also wary of the events that led up to his son’s death:
“I talked to Brian Saturday morning 11 o’clock the day he died. He talked perfectly normal, perfectly rational.
“Lauryn got a call about 2 in the afternoon that said Brian had been in a fight in the jail.
“An inmate was actually playing cards with Brian when the altercation happened when Brian got hit.”
According to Lawler, witnesses at the Hardeman County Jail claimed that Christopher wanted medical attention because he was bleeding from the head. However, help never came. It begs the question, is there more than meets the eye to this case?
Brian, who was 46 years old, was serving time in prison after a DUI arrest in the Memphis area.
