Joey Janela made headlines this week when he showed up to a Seminole County School Board meeting. This is the same meeting that controversial former WWE referee Drake Wuertz regularly attends.
Janela showed up and trolled the attendees before storming out as part of an act. Now, he has opened up a bit about the experience with quotes provided by Fightful Select (subscription required).
Speaking with the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Janela said he hadn’t decided to do this until mid-way through the meeting. He said he went and got some appropriate clothes and rushed to the meeting.
He also mentioned that Drake Wuertz recognized him and knew why he was there and was polite to him during and after the experience. Janela also said that he worked a lot of people into thinking he was actually an anti-masker with his trolling.
He also managed to work the local news into thinking it was real, being shown during a news broadcast storming out of the meeting.
The full interview with Joey Janela will be available at 8 pm EST.
