Interesting Backstage News On John Cena/Austin Theory WWE Raw Segment

Some interesting backstage news has emerged on the segment involving John Cena and Austin Theory from the March 6 WWE Raw.

Cena returned in Boston to set up a match with Theory for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 39, with Cena’s promo on Theory causing a lot of commotion.

Some fans are on the side that Cena went too far and it was almost a complete burial of Theory, while others actually saw it as the complete opposite and that it elevated the current US Champion just by being in the same space as Cena.

Whichever way you look at it, there’s an interesting note that’s emerged about how it went down.

Fightful Select posted a list of the producers assigned to each match and segment on Raw, and specifically noted that there was no producer listed for the Cena/Theory segment.

This likely just means the segment was left in the hands of Cena and Theory, obviously mostly Cena you’d think, with the idea that he’d be coming up with his own stuff and wouldn’t need to be ‘produced’.

This isn’t the first time this has happened recently, as a couple of recent Paul Heyman/Cody Rhodes segments haven’t had producers either, again because they’re seemingly being trusted to ‘produce’ themselves.

There was also no producer listed for the Bobby Lashley segment on Raw, but that was only a 30-second backstage promo.

– Seth Rollins, Logan Paul & The Miz: Adam Pearce

– Dolph Ziggler vs. Omos: Abyss

– Johnny Gargano vs. Finn Balor: Jamie Noble

– Piper Niven vs. Nikki Cross: Molly Holly

– Chad Gable vs. Baron Corbin: Shawn Daivari

– Damage CTRL, Trish Stratus, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Lita: TJ Wilson

– Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso; Jey Uso turn: Michael Hayes
