John Cena Reacts To CM Punk WWE Return

John Cena has now reacted to his former rival CM Punk returning to WWE at Saturday’s Survivor Series 2023 premium live event.

Punk made his WWE comeback following the WarGames main event, making his entrance just before the show went off the air.

Punk’s return had not leaked to any journalists or outlets beforehand and, despite fans hoping it would happen, was a genuine shock.

John Cena has now taken to Instagram to share a photo of Punk sitting on the WWE entrance ramp at WWE Survivor Series.

Cena always posts without captions on Instagram, but still took the time to acknowledge Punk’s return.

The 16-time world champion recently finished up on his own WWE run, most recently losing to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel.

Cena and Punk were big rivals when both were in WWE, with Punk notably defeating Cena to win his first WWE Championship at Money in the Bank 2011.

The duo most recently faced off on the February 25, 2013 edition of Raw.

They last shared the ring when teaming together at a December 2013 SmackDown taping.

Punk’s appearance at Survivor Series 2023 marked his first since January 2014, with that year’s Royal Rumble bout being Punk’s most recent WWE match.

CM Punk has wrestled since then, notably having a stint with AEW from August 2021 to September 2023.
