Andrade El Idolo & More AEW Stars React To CM Punk Return

Several AEW stars including Andrade El Idolo have reacted to CM Punk’s WWE return at Survivor Series WarGames 2023.

The former WWE Champion made a surprise appearance following the main event of the November 25 premium live event.

Punk’s return had not leaked to any journalists or outlets beforehand and, despite fans hoping it would happen, was a genuine shock.

Many notable names from the world of wrestling have taken to social media to react to Punk’s WWE comeback, including talent from Punk’s former promotion AEW.

Andrade El Idolo, who made his name as an AEW Collision star when Punk was still appearing on the brand, has now shared a photo of himself and the controversial star.

As you can see below, Andrade captioned the photo:

AEW coach Mark Henry shared WWE’s video of Punk’s return, simply writing:

Well!

In another tweet, Henry admitted:

Wowwww I’m in shock, I was wrong! @BustedOpenRadio

CJ Perry reacted in a similar fashion to the fans in the Allstate Arena at the time, tweeting:

Holy s**t @CMPunk #SurvivorSeries

Punk left AEW in September after his contract was ‘terminated with cause’.

He most recently wrestled at AEW All In London, defeating Samoa Joe in singles action with his ‘real’ AEW World Title on the line.
