Replying to a fan on Twitter, current NXT Champion Karrio Kross revealed he would be honoured to face John Cena in a retirement match, but also admitted he would love to see Cena return full-time.
Kross would then go on to further tease a match between the two by posting a picture of Cena on his Instagram page.
The fun didn’t stop there either, because Cena then responded by posting a picture of Kross on his Instagram page.
While this is far from any kind of confirmation, WWE stars aren’t generally allowed to tease matches on social media unless there is a realistic chance of them actually happening at some point down the line.
