Jushin Thunder Liger Unleashes Kishin Liger And Tries To Stab Minoru Suzuki

At NJPW Destruction in Kobe, Suzuki-Gun were taking on the team of Jushin Thunder Liger, Rocky Romero, Tiger Mask IV and Hiroshi Tanahashi, but a brawl between Minoru Suzuki and Liger made things very interesting indeed.

A few days prior at Destruction in Kagoshima, Suzuki unmasked Liger, saying he wanted the “real Liger”, and yesterday in Kobe, he got his wish.

Liger unmasked himself to unleash his rare alter-ego Kishin Liger:

Kishin – in manga – translates to people who become monstrous and eat innocent people’s souls. So that’s exactly what Liger tried to do to Suzuki. While wielding a massive spike.

Fortunately, Suzuki managed to get out of the way and Kishin stabbed a table propped up in the corner instead of his face.

The Kishin Liger character had only appeared three times before this. The first being in 1996, then 2006, and most recently in 2012.

Liger is set for a retirement match at Wrestle Kingdom in January, and it seems likely this match could well be against Suzuki himself.
