Earlier this week, Okada was named the Tokyo Sports MVP for 2019, an accolade he has now won four times.
He defends the IWGP Heavyweight Title against Kota Ibushi on night one of Wrestle Kingdom in January, the winner of which will face either Jay White or Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Title on night two. The two losers will face each other too.
