LA Knight has become one of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE roster in recent months, with the pops for the self-proclaimed megastar getting louder by the week.
Knight opened up last night’s episode of SmackDown with a promo, before he went on to defeat Sheamus in a singles match.
Both men will be a part of the SummerSlam Battle Royal sponsored by Slim Jim.
That won’t be the only place fans can see Knight over the next week, as he has been announced as a guest host for the upcoming New York Mets game on Tuesday.
LA Knight was the company’s top merchandise seller for the month of July.
There are reportedly plans for WWE to push Knight after SummerSlam, with Vince McMahon becoming a fan of his.
WWE are said to be ‘alert’ about Knight’s attitude backstage ahead of his push in the company.
