The mystery has finally been solved as to how LA Knight was going to get on the card for SummerSlam 2023!

On tonight’s July 28 episode of WWE SmackDown it was announced that there would be a SummerSlam Battle Royal, presented by Slim Jim.

After the announcement in a backstage segment, LA Knight approached Adam Pearce to say that if he wanted to make the SummerSlam Battle Royal actually mean something, Knight should certainly be in it.

Sheamus then interrupted him to mock his catchphrases, insisting that to win the Battle Royal would take more than promos.

Adam Pearce went on to not only announce that both would be included in the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal but also, would face off next week in a match.

Next week on SmackDown, Sheamus will take on LA Knight as more competitors for the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal are also set to be revealed on the August 4th episode.

Before the interaction and announcement tonight, Knight had beaten Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis of Hit Row.
