Lana Signs New WWE Deal, Rusev’s Contract Status Revealed

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Lana has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE.

The lucrative deal will see Lana (real name Catherine Joy Perry) stay with WWE for the next five years. Both parties are said to be very happy with the new deal.

The report states that Lana will be permitted to work on projects outside of WWE. Lana has starred in a few films in the past, so her new WWE deal allows her to devote more time to her acting career.

It was reported a month ago that Lana’s real-life husband Rusev was in the process of negotiating a new deal with Vince McMahon’s company. There is no word on when his current deal expires.

It is now being reported that despite his wife signing a new long-term WWE deal, Rusev’s future is slightly less clear.

Reports have emerged suggesting that the former United States Champion is still in talks with WWE about extending his stay with the company. He is said to be in the process of making his decision.

Based on the laughable storyline with Lana and Bobby Lashley that Rusev is currently stuck in, you can’t blame him for not jumping at the opportunity to re-sign his WWE contract.
