A new report has shared more information on the AEW Blood and Guts match set for the May 5 episode of Dynamite.
In 2 weeks time, The Inner Circle will battle The Pinnacle in this inaugural contest. It is now being reported that faction warfare could take up a bigger portion of the Dynamite show than initially thought.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the Blood and Guts match may be the only live contest on the night. It was noted that there could be other pre-taped segments, as Meltzer had heard that the main-event will be the only bout to air as it happens.
This rivalry reached breaking point last month when MJF betrayed Chris Jericho and the rest of The Inner Circle. Forming a new faction with FTR, Wardlow and Shawn Spears, MJF declared the group the “pinnacle of this sport”.
After numerous back-and-forths in recent weeks, it has been announced that The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle will meet for a “parley” next week. AEW will likely confirm the official rules of the match during this Dynamite segment.
On this week’s episode of Dynamite, Tay Conti challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship. Despite coming up short, Conti has been celebrating her pro-wrestling progress in the aftermath of the title match.
WWE star Bayley has reacted to Tay Conti’s recent AEW run. Recalling her WWE try-out, Bayley also commented on Conti’s current position in the wrestling world.
