Liv Morgan Opens Up About Ruby Soho Still Supporting Her

WWE SmackDown star Liv Morgan has opened up about AEW’s Ruby Soho still supporting her when she needs a boost.

Morgan and Soho were both members of the Riott Squad during Soho’s time in WWE as Ruby Riott, and it seems they created a very unique bond that is still prevalent today.

Speaking with Barstool Sports, Morgan spoke about how Soho still texts her before her segments and reminds her that she’s capable of great things even when she’s feeling down.

Morgan said:

“Ruby, throughout my friendship with her, everyone has self-doubts and moments where they just don’t feel their best. The constant pain with me was, I don’t feel good enough, I secretly don’t feel good enough. Ruby would always be like, ‘You don’t even know how good you are. These people don’t know how good you are’. She would be so supportive and so good for my self-confidence and my self-belief.

“Still, now, I have moments where I’m lacking confidence or self-esteem and I just talk to Ruby and I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m going through it right now’. She’ll give me that confirmation and validation that I’m not really looking for, but hearing it from her, it puts me at ease. I believe in her so much and I’m like, ‘Okay’. She’s been so supportive every week.

“She texts me before all my segments like, ‘I’m watching you, good luck, I love you. You’re the best.’ I’m like, ‘Yes. Ruby is watching. I got this, I’m the best. She said so, so it’s real.’ She just helped me believe in myself a lot and just know that I might be the s**t.”

Since Soho’s WWE release in June, both women have had a degree of success, with Liv Morgan becoming more prominent in a singles role on WWE TV, including a win over Carmella on the Extreme Rules pre-show last night.

Meanwhile, Soho won AEW’s Casino Battle Royale and went on to challenge Britt Baker for the Women’s World Title in the main event of Dynamite ‘Grand Slam’ this past Wednesday.
