Off the back of what I thought was an excellent Extreme Rules pay-per-view, it’s time for the first “proper” Raw with Paul Heyman in his new Executive Director role.
WWE has made a couple of big number one contender’s matches for tonight to decide who will challenge Becky Lynch and new Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
There will be a four-way match with Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Natalya with the winner earning a Raw Women’s Championship match against the ‘Man’ on August 11.
There will also be a huge battle royal to determine Lesnar’s next challenger, contested by Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin, Braun Strowman, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Big E, Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn.
Daniel Bryan was initially announced for the match, but they replaced him with Zayn for some reason.
WWE also sent out an email earlier today confirming that Lesnar will be on the show tonight.
Sounds like a whole lotta fun to me. Our live coverage will begin from the start of the show at 8pm ET/1am BST, so follow along with the live feed below for updates, results and opinions on tonight’s proceedings.
