Los Lotharios, Angel and Humberto, have explained why they started teaming together despite previously being rivals on WWE TV.
Humberto debuted on the main roster in late 2019 and Angel in early 2020, but they only started teaming together this past September.
During today’s episode of WWE’s The Bump, they explained the decision to start teaming, saying:
Angel: “Because finally, Humberto understands that heel-ish is his side. At the beginning I was trying to convince him, I was trying to, ‘Hey, come on, we’ve gotta tag’, and he was like, ‘No, I gotta keep the babyface spot’, you know, pleasing the crowd. Now he turned, he’s on the next level.”
Humberto: “I have to admit, I was on the wrong path. We have good communication out there, we have it in our blood. We’re from the same family and stuff, so we felt good out there. If he wants to be a heel, let’s do heel, if he wants to be a good guy, we can do good guy.”
Angel: “I think I have things that he doesn’t have, and he has a lot of things that I don’t have, so we match each other, like it’s this perfect match.”
