UPDATE – Due to this news Jon Moxley will be defending the AEW World Title against Eddie Kingston tonight.
A major AEW star has revealed via social media that he has tested positive for COVID-19 just weeks ahead of a huge match.
World Championship #1 contender Lance Archer tweeted that he has tested positive, writing:
When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks
Archer was set for a six-man tag team match on tonight’s live AEW Dynamite with Brian Cage & Ricky Starks against Jon Moxley, Darby Allin & Will Hobbs, but obviously he now won’t be there.
We’ll have live coverage of tonight’s show so stay tuned as we see how the promotion handles the situation.
