We may have just seen the formation of a working relationship between AEW and IMPACT Wrestling this week, but reports suggest that AEW higher-ups are actually open to “working with everyone”.
Dave Meltzer reported this week that Tony Khan has been in contact with Rocky Romero to try and set up a relationship between AEW and NJPW, and he reportedly isn’t the only one keen for this to happen.
This report has been followed up by one from BodySlam.net, who have noted that former AEW World Champion is very much for a working relationship between AEW and the Japanese promotion:
In addition, we were told by our sources that Chris Jericho has also supported working with other companies. More specifically New Japan, as the #2 company in the world and Impact Wrestling, as a long-standing secondary televised U.S. program with a much larger international presence that exists domestically.
While a working relationship between AEW and IMPACT is still exciting, fans have been far more vocal about their desire for a partnership between AEW and NJPW, and it seems like people within AEW feel the same way.
