Since turning heel on former stablemate Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay has formed The Empire faction with a returning Great-O-Khan and Bea Priestly, but we now know a fourth person who is going to be added to the group.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was revealed that former NEVER Openweight Champion Jeff Cobb is going to be joining Will Ospreay’s faction in the very near future, almost certainly even this month.
Yesterday, NJPW announced that Great-O-Khan would be teaming with an unknown Empire stablemate in the upcoming 2020 World Tag League, and we now know that his partner is going to be Jeff Cobb.
Jeff Cobb is believed to have signed a long-term deal with NJPW this year, turning down approaches from both WWE and AEW to sign with the Japanese promotion for the foreseeable future.
Over the weekend at NJPW Power Struggle, Will Ospreay challenged former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 15. You can read more about that by clicking here.
