Major WWE Star Changing Iconic Entrance Music

Major WWE Star Changing Iconic Entrance Music

A top champion on Smackdown has confirmed that they are working with WWE on a new entrance theme.

Roman Reigns has essentially had the same music since his main roster debut. Reigns wrestled his first televised WWE match at TLC 2012 as part of The Shield.

Even when he parted ways with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, Reigns kept making his entrance to their first theme.

The Tribal Chief has confirmed that he is changing his iconic theme soon. Speaking with Bleacher Report, the Universal Champion has revealed that he is working closely with WWE to tailor his new music to his character.

Reigns has asked fans to be patient, noting that his new music has to feel right.

Here is the full quote:

“We’re working on it. It’s not easy because I’m not going to… With this character, it has to be the right vibe. We can’t just hire a rapper and check out this guitar riff. It can’t be some rock music.

“The Shield music, I wasn’t even really into it back in the day; but over the years, it just started working. You get so used to it that I just time my pace to it. But yeah, it takes some time and it has to be right.

“In order to move away from something you’ve had for so long and is so recognizable like the music that I have now, it’s got to be perfect. It’s taking some time, but we’re definitely working on it, so please be patient.”

It is interesting to see the creative control that Roman Reigns is allowed over all aspects of his character.

Many fans have criticised Reigns for entering arenas to music that no longer suits his character. It should be a refreshing change to hear a different theme play when The Tribal Chief declares war.

Roman Reigns defends his Universal Championship against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble 2021, so Reigns has a perfect occasion to debut his new music before the month is over.

We actually have a database on the website featuring details on all entrance themes in WWE, NXT and AEW. You can find that be clicking this link.
