According to a new report from several sources, WWE Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano has been sacked by WWE following controversy surrounding Mickie James’ release.
James had posted a picture on her Twitter on Thursday (April 22) afternoon, sarcastically thanking Vince McMahon for sending her belongings to her in a trash bag, as you can see below.
Following this, both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon publicly apologised to Mickie, and told her the person responsible had been fired.
It seems the person WWE deemed responsible was Carrano, as Wrestling Inc made the following report.
Wrestling Inc. has learned that WWE has fired Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano.
As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Mickie James revealed that she received a black garbage bag with her belongings after being released by the company last week.
Triple H issued a statement on Twitter, stating that “person responsible for this inconsiderate action has been fired and is no longer with WWE.”
Carrano had run the Talent Relations department for several years, but his role changed when WWE re-hired John Laurinaitis last month.
Several other former female WWE stars have since come out to reveal they were also sent their belongings in the same way, and have asked why someone is only just being fired now, and why it wasn’t an issue before.
Here is the tweet that sparked all of this.
Dear @VinceMcMahon Im not sure if you’re aware, I did receive my @WWE care package today. Thank you. #AlwaysBlessedandGrateful #WomensWrestlingMatters pic.twitter.com/PyDC7ZC9lG
