With Vince McMahon’s WWE retirement, and Triple H taking charge of WWE creative, many fans have theorised about several of Vince McMahon’s edicts in the company being removed.
The first of these came last week, when Drew Gulak confirmed that he was now able to stream on Twitch again, specifically thanking Triple H for the change.
Other than Twitch, one of the other edicts that seems to have been removed is the edict Vince McMahon put in place regarding ring names, where wrestlers were not allowed to use their real names or names they used outside of WWE.
That edict appeared to be gone when Johnny Gargano made his return under his real name, as well as WWE live event advertising the current Mr Money In The Bank by his old name ‘Austin Theory’ rather than just ‘Theory’ as he had been using.
Well the next WWE star to revert back to his old name is Matt Riddle, who was officially rechristened with his first name on tonight’s episode of Raw.
