Mick Foley Reveals Why He Inducted Stacy Keibler Into WWE Hall of Fame

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony for 2023 saw the induction of Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta, Andy Kaufman, Tim White and Stacy Keibler.

While Keibler’s induction was not questioned, her inductee perhaps wasn’t either – given the fact she had previously inducted Torrie Wilson back in 2019, it was presumed the reverse would happen for Keibler.

While this was the case, Wilson was not the only one to induct Keibler, as to the surprise of many, Mick Foley also took to the ring to honor Keibler’s career.

Foley would first reveal that he had been contacted by ‘someone’ to induct them into the Hall of Fame, while at the time not revealing who it was.

The surprise of Foley inducting Keibler was due to them never being particularly associated on-screen together, however, Foley would recently reveal on his podcast Foley is Pod that the pair actually had a deep friendship.

Foley said:

“It’s just a really nice friendship and I think a deep mutual respect.

“I wasn’t lying when I talked about how happy I was (to get the text to induct her), and how I had a perpetual smile on my face because I always thought the world of Stacy.”

Foley would reveal that prior to the induction, he and Keibler hadn’t seen each other since 2005, but he always held great respect for the brand new Hall of Famer.
