WWE announced earlier this week that it was returning to Saudi Arabia next month for the third show of its twice-annual 10-year deal with the nation. Amongst those announced for the show were veterans The Undertaker and Goldberg.
Utilising vets on the Saudi events is not a new practice for WWE. The promotion wheeled out the likes of Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan and Kane at previous events in the country.
Could there be more legends added to the June show? Perhaps the Hardcore Legend, Mick Foley? According to the man himself, he is open to the idea. Speaking to TalkSports Pro Wrestling Show, Foley said:
“I’m lucky enough to where I don’t have to make that choice. I have to be honest, I can be had for a certain price. If they wanted a rematch of the Cell badly enough and were willing to pay for it, then my God they’d probably get it.”
Could we really see Mick Foley lace up his boots one last time in a rematch of the King Of The Ring ’98 Hell in a Cell classic against The Undertaker. We really hope not but never say never in wrestling, especially in 2019.
