Rich Swann has won the Impact Wrestling X-Division Championship at Impact Homecoming. Swann outlasted Ethan Page, Jake Crist, and Trey Miguel to win the vacant title in an Ultimate X match.
The win marks Swann’s first title reign with Impact Wrestling. Swann made his debut with Impact Wrestling on June 21st, 2018, four months after his departure from WWE. Before this win, Swann’s tenure with Impact Wrestling was largely unsuccessful. Swann challenged Brian Cage for the X-Division Championship in October but was unsuccessful in winning the title.
The match was the first Ultimate X match in nearly two years. Page, Crist, Miguel, and Swann traded high-flying blows for the duration of their match at Homecoming, with Swann coming out on top. Swann took a top rope hurricanrana from Trey Miguel but managed to land on his feet before rushing to the centre of the X and retrieving the vacant title.
The X-Division title had been vacated as former champion Brian Cage chose to vacate the title in favor of challenging Johnny Impact for the Impact World Championship.
