Tonight a recently used nickname for Dominik Mysterio has apparently become official, as it was immortalized on his match graphic!
Shared by the official WWE account and featured on the show, while announcing the breaking news of Seth Rollins primed to take on Dominik Mysterio on tonight’s show, the graphic provided a new official nickname for Dom.
Joining Seth “Freakin” Rollins in having a superfluous albeit fun nickname officially added to his ring name, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio got his first official mention via match graphic, as you can see below.
It’s worth mentioning that WWE also started doing the very same thing just a few weeks ago with “The Ring General” Gunther.
Tonight’s WWE Raw started in a chaotic fashion when Seth Rollins was in the ring but abruptly interrupted by Cody Rhodes who was then in turn abruptly interrupted by Brock Lesnar.
After returning from a commercial break following the Rhodes/Lesnar brawl, Rollins had gotten back into the ring and attempted to continue speaking again before he was interrupted yet again.
This time it was by Judgment Day (minus Finn Balor) who Rollins perhaps rightfully identified were attempting to goad him into a Money in the Bank briefcase related trap by suggesting a match with Dominik Mysterio.
However, Rollins really wanted to slap the mustache off of Dirty Dom’s face and therefore, accepted the challenge for later in the show.
